The main procedures

• Day 0–3: small scabs form on each graft; sleep with the head raised; no washing on day one.
• Day 4–10: gentle washing as instructed; scabs fall off by around day 10; donor area heals.
• Week 2–8: "shock loss" — transplanted hairs shed; this is normal.
• Month 3–4: new hairs start to grow.
• Month 6–12: result fills in; final density at 12–18 months.
