1. In cases where the line is excessively defined (overcorrection)

Cause

Previous incorrect surgery may cause difficulty closing the eyes or make them appear excessively open even without effort, resulting in a harsh impression.

2. When the double-eyelid crease is too high (sausage eyelids)

Causes

If the fixation point for the double-eyelid crease does not align with the eye’s anatomical structure, the crease may be excessively high and the tissue beneath it may appear thick.

Surgical method

The double-eyelid line is reshaped to suit the eyes, and if there is excess eyelid fat, it is removed to create slimmer eyelids.

3. If the eyelashes are lifted

Cause

In cases of overcorrection, where ptosis is corrected more than necessary, the eyelashes may become elevated.

4. Double Eyelid Crease Has Come Undone

Cause

With the buried suture method, the double eyelid crease may come undone if the knot loosens. Even with the incisional method, it may come undone if the fixation is not secure.

Surgical method

Natural adhesion, partial-incision, or full-incision methods are all possible, and removing unnecessary eyelid tissue may also be helpful.

Cause

This is a case in which only double-eyelid surgery was performed on an eye requiring ptosis correction, leaving the ptosis uncorrected.

6. Multiple eyelid creases

Cause

If the double-eyelid crease is not securely fixed or excess skin is not removed, multiple folds may form.

7. In cases of severe hollowing

Cause

8. In cases of left-right asymmetry

Cause
