Luho Plastic Surgery: Crooked Nose Surgery Methods

- For mild deviation

*A - Customized Implant Insertion

A silicone implant is sculpted to fit the crooked nasal bridge and inserted. The protruding crooked area is reduced, while an implant such as silicone is inserted into depressed areas to correct the nose into a straight profile.

- For severe deviation

*A - Bone Osteotomy / B - Septal Cartilage Correction

After removing the protruding cartilage and bone, the nasal bones are osteotomized overall. The protruding side is moved inward and the depressed side outward to straighten the nose. Crooked nostrils can also be corrected. As many cases are caused by septal deviation, it is important to straighten the curved septum.

CASE 01: When the Nasal Tip Is Deviated to One Side

When the deviation is not severe, correction may be performed through cartilage or dermal grafting.

CASE 02: When the Nasal Bones Are Crooked

As the most common method of crooked nose correction, osteotomies are performed along both sides and the central area of the crooked nasal bones to reposition them correctly.

CASE 03: When the Septal Cartilage Is Deviated

The deviated portion is removed while preserving the septum needed for nasal support. If necessary, it is secured in the center of the nose.

The septum is a wall-like structure that divides the inside of the nose into two spaces. It consists of bone and cartilage and serves as a supporting pillar for the nasal bridge.

When this septum is crooked or not straight, it is called septal deviation. During crooked nose correction, it is essential to check for and correct septal deviation simultaneously in order to effectively correct the crooked nose.
