Hello. This is my one-month post-op review. I had monolids and uneven eyes, so I’d been considering surgery, but since I’m prone to keloids, people around me said that monolids were my charm, that I had a Face that wouldn’t suit Double Eyelid Surgery, and asked what I’d do if it turned out badly. I held back for a long time, but when I came in to check on my cousin’s surgical progress, the doctor told me that you don’t get keloids on the eyes, that mine would look much prettier after surgery, and that my overall impression would improve. That gave me the courage to decide on surgery. I told him I wanted it to look as natural as possible, around an In-Line Crease, because I heard being too ambitious could ruin it. The doctor tried several designs and said a thick line wouldn’t suit me anyway, so he made it thin, around 5–6 mm. Post-op day 1: I went into surgery around 3:30 p.m., and it was over in about 15 minutes. Since I had general anesthesia + local anesthesia, I didn’t feel much right after surgery, but the pain gradually started on the way home. Post-op day 3: The swelling gradually started, and bruising began around the outer corner of my right eye. Still, the swelling and bruising weren’t as bad as I expected. Post-op day 7: Most of the swelling had gone down, but there was still bruising around the outer corner of my right eye, and it felt a little uncomfortable to open my eyes. Week 3: For some reason, my eyelashes kept falling out and looked sparse here and there. I’m still scared to wear makeup or get a lash perm, but it’s settled into my Face and looks much more natural. Before, my Face looked vaguely tired and plain, but after surgery, people have been saying my eyes look more defined and my overall image looks softer???? No matter what others say, I love it, and I’ve gotten so used to it that I can barely remember my old Face. My right eye is still slightly bigger, but the coordinator said my real results will show after 6 months, so I’ll need to wait and see a little longer. Still, it already looks so natural that I’m very satisfied^^
