Hello, I’m posting a review of my first double eyelid surgery! 1. Why did I choose Afternoon? After visiting several clinics, I found that Afternoon definitely had clear differences before surgery. ① Direct consultation with the director There was no consultation manager, and here I could consult directly with the director. The fact that the director who would actually perform the surgery personally gave me a thorough consultation was a major deciding point in choosing the clinic. The director listened carefully to my concerns and explained my eye condition and the surgical direction in detail, so I truly felt a great sense of trust. ② No recommendation for unnecessary procedures After consulting at a total of 9 clinics, there were a few places that, whenever I mentioned my concerns about my eyes, kept suggesting +additional opening procedures~~, +additional ptosis correction~~ but the director here said that even if I wanted an incisional procedure, non-incisional would be more than enough for me~~ and that I did not need opening procedures or ptosis correction either. There was no recommendation for unnecessary surgery, and I was able to undergo the procedure safely and without the risk of side effects! ③ Confidence in the surgical method During the consultation, I said that I did not want to have non-incisional surgery and then need a revision a few years later because it came undone,, so I told them I wanted incisional surgery from the start. At that time, the director told me that non-incisional surgery would be sufficient for my eyes and fully explained the reasons in a way I could understand and accept. Seeing the director try to persuade me toward non-incisional rather than the more expensive incisional method made me think, ah.....this is truly conscientious, and without worrying about incisional vs non-incisional, I decided on the non-incisional method just as the director recommended! 2. On the day of surgery ① Clinic atmosphere It was clean + cozy + comfortable. Thanks to that, I felt less nervous and was able to approach the surgery with peace of mind! ② Kind nurses Most of the nurses were kind, but the nurse in the operating room was especially kind and wonderful! Right before the surgery, when I asked on the operating table about how to care for my eyes after double eyelid surgery, she kindly gave me detailed care tips, for which I was very grateful, and she really helped me feel at ease just before the surgery. ③ The director’s skill & meticulousness I think the line design alone took a full 30 minutes. Watching the director carefully design the line while talking with me, (I kept thinking to myself, wow, I really chose the right clinic! lol) because I had to open and close my eyes dozens of times, my eyes even watered ^^; That is how carefully the design was tailored to suit my face, and the surgery was performed in a way that minimized bruising and swelling. 3. Thoughtful postoperative care by the clinic On the night of the surgery, the director called me to check on my condition. I remember my parent next to me saying with wide eyes, “My goodness, is there really a clinic where the director personally calls?” lol When I visited the clinic on day 6 for swelling care, the director personally checked my progress, and I was touched by the thoughtfulness of also receiving text messages with precautions for day 5 and day 10 and being checked on to see whether I had any discomfort. 4. Lastly After having eye surgery, I was amazed at how even a 1 mm difference in the line could change the shape of the eyes and a person’s overall impression. I realized once again that the success of double eyelid surgery depends on the director’s skill and precision!!
