Wearing the band intermittently from 1 to 4 weeks after surgery may help with skin contraction, especially if chin surgery was performed, but it is not essential.

06 / Additional Instructions for Cheekbone Surgery

If you have undergone cheekbone surgery, please be sure to follow the precautions below.

Please refrain from blowing your nose and opening your mouth wide (more than the width of three fingers) for 6 weeks. However, maintain natural mouth opening to prevent temporomandibular joint adhesion. Also, if the dressing at the sideburn incision site becomes wet, simply replace it with another bandage.
