Shurink Universe is a non-invasive high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU)-based device that focuses ultrasound energy at specific depths within the skin to create microscopic thermal coagulation points (TCPs) in the target layer. This thermal stimulation induces an immediate tissue contraction response followed by collagen remodeling over several weeks, aiming to improve blurred facial contours and skin elasticity caused by loss of firmness.

The key to lifting lies in how accurately and seamlessly energy is delivered at the appropriate depth. Shurink Universe adds a line-based method to the conventional dot-based method to achieve customized lifting that does not miss any area of the contoured face.

HIFU concentrates ultrasound at a single point (focal point) to raise the temperature only at a specific depth. Rather than heating the skin surface broadly, it repeatedly creates microscopic thermal stimulation in dot (or line/plane pattern) formations to induce a treatment response. Collagen contraction + rearrangement (remodeling)

Post-treatment precautions: A commitment to maintaining your results

✓ Maintain mild warmth

To help preserve the thermal coagulation points formed within the skin after treatment, wash your face with lukewarm water for 2–3 days.

✓ Temporary reactions

Bruising, swelling, or a tingling pain similar to muscle soreness may occur after treatment, but these are normal responses during the lifting process and typically resolve within a few days.

✓ Hydration and sun protection

Apply a generous amount of moisturizing cream to support recovery, and be sure to use sunscreen when going outdoors.

✓ Contraindications

For approximately one week after treatment, it is recommended to avoid activities that generate excessive body heat, such as saunas, alcohol consumption, and strenuous exercise.

Q. How painful is the treatment?

A. With MP mode, Shurink Universe shortens treatment time, resulting in less perceived pain than conventional Shurink. Although this varies by individual, the sensation is generally a mild tingling that can be tolerated without separate anesthesia.

Q. When will results appear, and how long do they last?

A. You may experience an immediate tightening effect right after treatment, with peak results appearing between 4 and 12 weeks as collagen regenerates. Results last approximately 6 months on average and may be maintained longer with regular treatments.

Q. I am concerned about hollow cheeks as a side effect.

A. Hollow cheeks can occur when excessive energy is delivered without considering the distribution of facial fat.
