Revision Correction Clinic is a specialized consultation program that precisely analyzes the causes of residual myopia, hyperopia, or astigmatism after vision correction surgery such as LASIK, LASEK, or SMILE, as well as vision deterioration that reappears over time, and evaluates the feasibility of additional correction. Revision correction is not simply performing laser surgery once more. The previous surgical method and amount of correction, current corneal thickness and shape, residual corneal tissue, dry eye status, and stability of vision changes must all be comprehensively assessed. It is also necessary to first determine whether the vision deterioration is due to residual refractive error or other causes involving the cornea, lens, retina, or other structures. If detailed examination indicates that revision correction is feasible, an individualized correction plan is established by selecting a LASIK-based approach, LASEK-based approach, or another appropriate method according to the patient’s surgical history and current ocular condition.
