Conventional nasal Implants were mass-produced in standardized sizes. However, because each person’s nose shape and height are different, it was difficult for standardized Implants to fit every nose perfectly. This could cause the Implant to lift or shift, sometimes resulting in side effects.

Accordingly, our clinic has performed surgery by carving Implants to suit each individual based on decades of expertise, improving satisfaction and safety. However, carving during surgery had the drawback of prolonging operative time.

Preoperative Precautions

Stop taking medications that interfere with blood clotting (such as birth control pills, hormone medications, vitamin E, and aspirin) at least two weeks before surgery. If you are being treated for conditions such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, or thyroid disease, be sure to inform your physician or care coordinator in advance.

It is recommended to stop smoking at least two weeks before surgery.

If you have a severe cold on the day of surgery, your airway and respiratory system may be abnormal. Be sure to inform your physician or care coordinator in advance.

Contact lenses, jewelry accessories, nail polish, and makeup may interfere with surgery, so please remove them before coming to the hospital on the day of surgery.

Postoperative Care

Keeping your head slightly elevated above heart level helps reduce swelling.

Apply ice packs for 2–3 days after surgery.

For about one month after surgery, avoid excessive friction on the surgical area and meridian massage. It is recommended to wait at least one month after surgery before using saunas or steam rooms.

Avoid alcohol and smoking, as they delay wound healing. If unavoidable, wait at least four weeks.

Light exercise, such as walking, may be resumed immediately after surgery, but strenuous activities such as aerobics, tennis, and swimming should be postponed for approximately 3–4 weeks after surgery.
