I learned about this hospital, known for specializing in revision surgery, through an introduction from someone around me, and after reading the numerous questions in the cafe, the director’s thoughtful answers, and the reviews, I decided that I should have the surgery here.
I had the surgery the same day right after the consultation. In fact, I did not get consultations at other hospitals. I had such strong trust in this hospital that I thought I would probably choose this place even if I consulted several others. But now I sometimes wonder if I should have at least gotten other consultations. I wonder how it would have been if I had kept more possibilities open and consulted with Director Kim Garam. I am satisfied with the surgery, but I think I myself did not think things through enough^^
I wanted epicanthoplasty as well because I did not like the appearance of my Mongolian fold, but I was told it was not possible because the space between my eyes was narrow, and since lateral canthoplasty was possible, I ended up having lateral canthoplasty, ptosis correction, and an incisional procedure.
Before, it was hard because I could hear all the sounds of the incision, but with sedation anesthesia, I did not have that kind of fear. I do not think I fell completely asleep, but it felt like I had taken a trip to dreamland.. Anyway, it felt a little different from when I had sedated endoscopy haha
Throughout the procedure, I opened and closed my eyes and sat down and stood up while they kept checking the line, and when it was time for the lateral canthoplasty, they gave me sedation anesthesia again, which I really appreciated. Of course, I think I woke up quickly though..
It even seemed like they undid the stitched area and then stitched it again. Later, the anesthesia wore off, so I had to get more anesthesia as well. I think that was the hardest time for me. I kept telling myself in my heart that they were doing it again to make it prettier, and I endured it by pinching my own skinㅠ
I think the surgery took about two and a half hours. After applying a cold compress and staying in the recovery room for about 20 minutes, I was not dizzy, so I went home early.
I think the swelling was worst on the second day.
I wrapped the cooling pack the hospital gave me in gauze and used it as a cold compress, but for the first 3 days, a little blood got on the gauze and made it stick, so I was a little scared every time I removed it. So I separated it as slowly as possible.

By the time I started using warm compresses, the gauze no longer stuck to my eyes, so I was able to do the compresses much more comfortably.
By the end of the first week, the swelling had noticeably gone down, and once the stitches were removed, I was able to go outside without wearing a hat.

There is still some swelling, so it is uncomfortable when I open my eyes because the part where the eyelid overlaps bothers me. Also, the end line is different on the left and right sides and is not very neat, but the director told me it would improve over time, so I am waiting comfortably.
Today, while receiving scar laser treatment, I asked many questions, and everything was explained so well. I also felt good because the director said I looked much younger haha
The director’s skill is one thing, but because they speak in a way that puts the patient at ease and because I have faith that even if the surgical result is not good, they will take responsibility and provide aftercare, I think I made a good choice in selecting this hospital.Eye

In person, the overall look has become much softer, the sharp and intense feeling is completely gone, and I love it so much. I just wish the swelling would go down quickly ㅠㅠ
And the director said that once the swelling goes down, the line will become visible again. I will bring review photos later after the swelling goes down.
Today (day 5) I had the stitches removed from the double eyelid and lateral canthoplasty,
and since it was possible to wash starting from day 4, it was very convenient.

The facility was much better and more pleasant than the hospital where I had my first surgery, and all the staff were so so kind, so I already felt really good and comfortable even before the procedureㅜㅜ Thank you so much!! And before going into surgery, I briefly had another consultation with the director, and he kindly answered each and every one of my questions and was extremely kind, and he was so incredibly meticulous during the surgery as well, so I was very satisfied. He even praised me from time to time for enduring it well? so I did my best to get through it! So sweet!! >,< And at my previous hospital, I had local anesthesia, and anesthesia does not usually work well on me, and I also have severe vein pain,
so I am even afraid of getting injections, but during yesterday’s surgery, even when I got the injection at first, it hurt less than I expected, and since the local anesthesia was given under sedation, it did not hurt much!! It really felt so different compared to my first surgery.

Before, it was hard because I could hear all the sounds of the incision, but with sedation anesthesia, I did not have that kind of fear. It even seemed like they undid the stitched area and then stitched it again. Later, the anesthesia wore off, so I had to get more anesthesia as well. I think that was the hardest time for me. I kept telling myself in my heart that they were doing it again to make it prettier, and I endured it by pinching my own skinㅠ
I think the surgery took about two and a half hours. After applying a cold compress and staying in the recovery room for about 20 minutes, I was not dizzy, so I went home early.
I think the swelling was worst on the second day.
I wrapped the cooling pack the hospital gave me in gauze and used it as a cold compress, but for the first 3 days, a little blood got on the gauze and made it stick, so I was a little scared every time I removed it. So I separated it as slowly as possible.

By the time I started using warm compresses, the gauze no longer stuck to my eyes, so I was able to do the compresses much more comfortably.
By the end of the first week, the swelling had noticeably gone down, and once the stitches were removed, I was able to go outside without wearing a hat.

I had Incisional Double Eyelid Revision, Ptosis Correction, and lateral canthoplasty with Dr. Garam Kim.
I had Double Eyelid Surgery with the Suture method at another clinic 12 years ago, but it became very uncomfortable to open my eyes, and one side had loosened too much, so I decided to have Revision surgery.
