Hump Nose Surgery Methods

For a mild hump

④ An implant is inserted over the reduced area to raise the nasal bridge, and the drooping nasal tip is elevated before suturing.

Does a hump nose always require osteotomy?

When correcting a hump nose, various techniques should be applied depending on the degree of hump protrusion and the extent of nasal tip drooping.

Therefore, osteotomy is not always necessary. If the original nasal bridge is wide, or if reducing the hump would make the nasal bridge wider, osteotomy may help achieve more definitive improvement.

02 Crooked Nose Surgery

Straight, without deviation

Crooked nose surgery is a procedure that creates a straight nose line from the nasal bridge to the nasal tip in cases of a crooked nose caused by congenital factors, such as excessive growth of the nasal bones and cartilage, or acquired factors, such as nasal bone fracture following trauma or impact.

Causes of a crooked nose, including asymmetry of the left and right nasal bones and cartilage

A customized procedure is performed according to the type of deviation.

Crooked Nose Surgery Methods

For a mild hump

② The nasal bones are separated through medial and lateral osteotomies.

③ The separated nasal bones are repositioned and corrected through cartilage grafting.

④ A refined nose line is completed with straightened nasal bones.

When the septal cartilage is deviated

① Before surgery

② The deviated septum is separated.

③ Excess cartilage is excised and firmly fixed to the anterior nasal spine, and cartilage grafting is performed on the septum if necessary.

④ A smooth nose line is completed with properly corrected septal cartilage.

When the nasal tip is deviated to one side

① Before surgery

② The deviated cartilage is separated and aligned, and cartilage grafting is performed in deficient areas.
