Scar-Minimizing Suturing Technique 01

Dissolvable sutures are used beneath the skin, eliminating the need for later suture removal. With precise layer-by-layer suturing, customized treatment is provided according to the depth and width of the wound, leaving minimal scarring.

STEP 01

One end of the incision is cut diagonally. The upper and lower edges of the occipital incision are sutured in an alternating pattern.

STEP 02

After the first closure, the upper incision edge is sutured to the opposite side as a second layer.

STEP 03

The skin is meticulously sutured to complete the procedure.

Scar-Minimizing Suturing Technique 02

A specialized suturing technique that minimizes tension on the wound area is applied to help prevent broad scars from forming during the skin regeneration process. Customized suturing tailored to each individual’s skin characteristics and wound location promotes natural healing and a beautiful result with minimal visible traces.

STEP 01

Subcutaneous suturing is performed away from the skin incision line rather than directly beneath it.

STEP 02

Subcutaneous suturing should achieve elevation using only suturing of the subcutaneous tissue and dermal layer.

STEP 03

The area is meticulously sutured to complete the procedure.

STEP 04

Within 1–3 months after the suturing procedure, the area returns to its original state due to tension.

Q. Is hair transplantation possible even if the hair density at the back of the head is low?

A. Hair transplantation is possible even if the hair density at the back of the head is low. However, compared with individuals with higher density, the number of hairs that can be transplanted may be limited, so the density may appear lower. In many cases, the number of transplanted grafts is still within the normal range, making the procedure sufficiently feasible.

Q. Will strip hair transplantation leave a scar?

A. To safely harvest a large number of healthy follicles, the excised scalp must be sutured after transplantation, and the suture line may remain as a scar. However, it is usually concealed between the hairs and is not easily visible.

Q. Do I need to continue taking hair loss medication after transplantation?

A. Transplanted hair is not affected by hormones and is not associated with hair loss, but the remaining native hair may continue to thin. Over time, even if the transplanted hairs placed among the existing hairs do not fall out, the density may appear reduced due to loss of the native hair caused by hair loss.

Q. How many hair transplant procedures are needed?

A. This varies depending on the patient’s condition. Many people are satisfied with one procedure, but some undergo two or three procedures.

Q. Will the transplanted hair not fall out?

A. Yes. However, hair loss may continue in areas other than the surgical site, so combining treatment with medication is recommended.

Q. When will the hair begin to grow normally?

A. Transplanted hair begins to shed 2 weeks after surgery and may continue shedding until 3 months. It then gradually starts to grow again. It takes about 9–10 months to achieve a reasonably satisfactory result.
