What is JT Epicanthoplasty?

Make constricted-looking eyes appear larger and brighter!

This procedure removes the epicanthal fold at the inner corner of the eye that can make the eyes appear constricted, making the eyes look larger and brighter while achieving golden proportions and a softer impression.

For cases with a wide distance between the eyes or a constricted impression, it improves the slope of sharp-looking inner corners to create a natural, defined eye shape.

In your own eyes, an impression appears natural and comfortable when approximately 50–60% of the pink tissue is visible. If less is visible, the eyes may appear constricted; if excessively more is visible, they may appear cross-eyed.

JT Epicanthoplasty Procedure

❶ Design the desired extent and direction of Epicanthoplasty according to the eye shape

❷ Incise the epicanthal fold at the inner corner along the designed line

❸ Remove the epicanthal fold and excess skin

❹ Complete by suturing toward the inner side of the eye to minimize visible scars

JT Upper Epicanthoplasty is a procedure that releases the upper eyelid at the inner corner (at a 45-degree angle), creating a streamlined inner corner and an open yet gentle eye shape.

JT Upper Epicanthoplasty Procedure

❶ Design the desired extent of Epicanthoplasty according to the eye shape

❷ Incise the skin at a 45-degree direction from the inner corner according to the design

❸ After the skin incision, remove the skin covering the inner corner and suture

❹ Achieve an open eye shape without changing the distance between the eyes after surgery

❶ Improves the angle at the inner corner for larger, brighter-looking eyes

What is JT Lateral canthoplasty?

For larger, brighter-looking eyes by extending the outer corners!

By extending the length of the outer corners, this procedure can create larger, brighter-looking eyes. When performed together with Lower Canthoplasty, it can create effective and harmonious eye proportions.

In addition, JT Lateral canthoplasty does not expose the conjunctiva and uses only an upper incision line, providing the advantage that the upper and lower portions do not reattach.

❷ Make a small incision in the skin at the outer Crow's Feet area, followed by Dissection

❸ Extend the outer corner, secure it to the lateral periosteum, and suture the skin

❹ Achieve a longer, brighter-looking eye shape after surgery

JT Lower Canthoplasty is a procedure for cases in which the lower eyelid is elevated and covers the iris or the angle of the outer corner is high; it lowers harsh-looking eyes to create a natural, softer appearance.

When performed together with Lateral canthoplasty, it can create more effective and harmonious eye proportions.

(When Lateral canthoplasty and Lower Canthoplasty are performed together, the horizontal length of the eyes is expanded, sharply upturned outer corners are gently lowered, and the eyes can appear naturally larger rather than artificial.)

JT Lower Canthoplasty Procedure

❶ Design the extent of Epicanthoplasty according to the eye shape and degree of eye protrusion

❷ Make a small incision in the inner conjunctiva, followed by Dissection

❸ Secure the outer eyelid to the periosteum or aponeurosis according to the planned extent of Epicanthoplasty

❹ Achieve large, bright, and gentle-looking eyes
