STEP 01 | 3D CT Scan / 3D Printing

After three-dimensional 3D CT analysis, a life-size nasal bone model is printed using 3D printing.

STEP 02 | Autologous Cartilage Harvesting

An appropriate amount of autologous cartilage suited to the individual surgical plan is harvested.

STEP 03 | Special Fixation of Autologous Cartilage

The harvested cartilage is finely diced and secured with a special fixation solution approved for human use.

STEP 04 | Cartilage Molding

The cartilage is molded to the desired shape based on the 3D-printed bone model.

STEP 05 | Autologous Cartilage Insertion

The molded autologous cartilage is placed along the nasal bridge.

Types and Characteristics of Autologous Cartilage

1. Ear Cartilage

Cartilage obtained from the ear; softer than septal cartilage and suitable for creating a natural shape.

2. Septal Cartilage

Cartilage located in the center of the nose. It does not require an incision in another area and is firm, but the amount that can be harvested varies depending on the individual's anatomy.

3. Rib Cartilage (Costal Cartilage)

Cartilage obtained from the rib area through an incision along the inframammary fold. It provides the largest amount of cartilage, but requires a separate incision along the inframammary fold.
