Hello:) A long time ago, I had my first surgery with a full-incision method, and I was stressed because of the high crease and the step-like scar that showed when I looked downward or closed my eyes. The crease did not look bad when my eyes were open, but closing them or looking downward was really stressful. Since last year, I went to consultations at a few places, but there was nowhere that truly felt right to me. Those of you who have had consultations will probably understand, but on the day I went to Afternoon for a consultation, I felt, “I want to have it done here.” Personally, I think a doctor’s surgical skill is important too of course but I also believe it is essential to have the heart to understand the patient. Director Kim Garam was exactly that kind of person, and she was truly kind and explained things clearly and easily at the patient’s level. I also liked the consultation manager because she was refreshingly straightforward and efficient. Anyway, after coming home and thinking it over for a few hours, I immediately scheduled the surgery date and went through with it lol I was extremely nervous. I could hardly sleep the night before, kept falling asleep and waking up, and went to the hospital with a very swollen face. (empty stomach) After seeing the director once more and signing the surgery consent form, I changed into a gown and slippers in the changing room and waited for a while in a private waiting room. After putting on the gown, I gave my phone to my parents, so I do not have any photos after that. When I went into the operating room, the director designed the double eyelid line. After that, they disinfected the area, gave me light sedation for a moment, then local anesthesia, and before I knew it, I was already in the middle of surgery haha I focused on the beeping sound. In the middle of it, they raised the chair, had me sit up, lie down, sit up again, blink, and repeated that several times haha During the surgery, the only thought in my head was, “Please let it turn out pretty” haha After the surgery, the director showed me a mirror, and after I checked, I went to the recovery room. My mother was waiting in the recovery room. The hospital gave me an ice pack, so I held it over my eyes. Their attentive care made me feel at ease. Even though it was the first day after surgery, the swelling was relatively mild. As expected, after I got home, the swelling gradually started to increase. I diligently used the ice pack on and off and kept applying cold compresses. I am going to do my best with aftercare from now on.
